A little more about me…

I’m Jo, and it’s my (anxious) life that you’re reading about.

After a tough 2018, I resolved to make some changes: I needed a personal passion, a creative outlet, space to grow –  and some major catharsis. Bored of the saturated Mummy-blogger market and eye-rollingly tired of the toxic positivity and unachievable perfection spawned out of Instagram, I went searching for something different. And when I didn’t really find what I was looking for, I made it myself.

My Anxious Life is a place to share the ups and downs, support each other on the good days and bad days, and learn from our moments of happiness and crushing nothingness. I truly believe we’re all in this together.

So what else makes up my (anxious) life?

I’m a wife, to a wonderful man who owns the entire contents of B&Q, never replaces empty household items and, in his own words, has “an aura of manuality” that truly is unrivalled.

I’m a mother, to two little boys who make my heart explode with the purest, fiercest love, who make me laugh every day, and who have led to a sharp increase in mid-week drinking.

I’m a mixed bag of passions and enthusiasms, from horror movies to Disney classics, photography to food and drink, history to literature, all via long walks (preferably in the woods).

I’m also a passionate writer, so if you’d like to work with me for My Anxious Life – or indeed commission me for your own business or project – get in touch.
